Our Beliefs

About Church

We believe we are living the continuation of the Book of Acts. We also believe that as born again, spirit-filled followers of Christ, that we can experience the same power that was demonstrated on the Day of Pentecost. We believe the church is fulfilling its mission when its members are growing spiritually, reach the lost, discovering their gifts, and contributing to the Kingdom through service and ministry.

About the Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of GOD. We believe that the Biblical message is a call first to salvation and then to discipleship.

OUR BELIEFS

About Sin and Grace

Romans 5:18-21, “Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads us to justification antlofe for all men. For as by one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous. Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that , as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” It has been said that grace is the unmerited favor of GOD, but grace is much more than that. We believe that GRACE is the POINT where GOD meets man’s needs. We believe it is were a new life in Christ begins as GRACE is extended to cover the multitude of our sins.

About the Great Commission

We believe in the Great Commission and are endeavoring to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with love, mercy, and compassion to each of the nearly 93,000 people that live in the city of Hoover, not to mention the 1.3 million people that live in the Birmingham metro.

About the God

We believe that there is only one GOD (Deuteronomy 6:4) who is the Creator of Heaven and Earth, who manifested Himself in the person of Jesus Christ, Immanuel, “GOD with us”. We also believe that our LORD has such love for humanity and HE knew we are incapable of saving ourselves, that HE wrapped Himself in a body of flesh, walked the earth, interacted with humanity, and then willingly gave that body on the Cross to take on the past, present, and future sins of mankind. By HIS sacrifice, ever soul in Hoover and the surrounding communities has value, purpose, and redemptive potential.

About Water Baptism

We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the LORD Jesus Christ for the remission, or removal, of sins (Acts 2:38). Through baptism we identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Romans 6:3-6, Colossians 2:11-14). We understand that baptism is essential to the plan of salvation and is not merely a profession of faith.

About Spirit Baptism

We believe in sanctification through the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues (Mark 16:17, Acts 2:4, Acts 19:6).

About the Gifts of the Spirit

We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Ghost. HE ministers to HIS people through tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy, words of knowledge and wisdom, deicerning of spirits, gifts of faith, working of miracle, gift of healing, and the gift of helps and government (Mark 16:15-19, Acts 5:16, II Corinthians 12:1-11)
